Portugal Tourist Revenue Up 11%

Portugal’s tourism sector experienced significant growth up to November 2024, with total revenue and accommodation income increasing by 11%, primarily driven by a 4.8% rise in overnight stays by non-residents. The average revenue per available room (RevPAR) reached €72.0, and the average revenue per occupied room (ADR) was €121.60, reflecting annual growth of 7.0% and 6.5%, respectively.
In November alone, total revenues amounted to €385.9 million, with accommodation revenues at €285.3 million, both showing a 16.7% increase. The Greater Lisbon region contributed the most to overall revenue, followed by the North and the Autonomous Region of Madeira. All regions recorded growth, with the Center and Madeira experiencing the largest increases.
