Lapa II construction is approaching its final stages

  • 26 May, 25

The development of Lapa II, the expansion wing of the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel, is progressing smoothly and according to schedule, showcasing remarkable construction milestones. Situated in the iconic and historic Lapa neighborhood, just minutes from the lively heart of Porto, this new extension reflects both architectural elegance and thoughtful urban integration.

A major highlight of recent progress is the completion of the façade, a significant step that brings the exterior character of the building to life. Inside, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations are actively underway on all floors, ensuring the highest standards of operational quality and technical efficiency.

Simultaneously, interior finishes are advancing across guest rooms, public spaces, and wellness areas — all designed to reflect the brand’s refined aesthetic. Notably, the connecting bridge linking the original structure to Lapa II is nearly completed, ensuring seamless access and enhancing the overall guest experience.

In the months ahead, the project will shift focus to finalizing MEP installations and initiating the placement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) in the guestrooms, lobby, and spa facilities — core spaces that define Renaissance’s premium hospitality offering.

The Lapa II hotel expected to be opened by 2025.
