Portugal is 5th best country to live comfortably in retirement for wealthy foreigners

The ranking is based on: affordable, favorable tax environment, friendly. There are other factors, namely: place I would live, pleasant climate, respects property rights and has a well-developed public health system. Portugal comes behind Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.

This is Portugal’s first time within the Top Five.

Relatively low cost of living and retirement tax laws that have made retirement in the country easier for expatriates.
