Golden visa: Investment in April increased by 82.8% to 51.2 million

By country, 35 golden visas have been issued to China, 12 to Brazil, 9 to the United States, 6 to India and 5 to Russia.

Investments obtained through the golden visa rose 82.8% in April (compare to same period last year), to 51.2 million euros, according to data from the Service of Foreigners and Borders (SEF). In April last year, the investment amounted to 28 million euros.Moreover, from January to April 2021, the investment increased to 173.4 million euros, 17% more than the same period in 2020.

Compared to March (36.7 million euros), investment from the Residence Permit Investment (ARI) program has increased by 39.5%. SEF approved 98 golden visas last month; 90 of which are based on the purchase of real estate (22 visas for urban revitalization); 7 visas for capital transfer and 1 visa for job creation.
