Greece shines among the top destinations for high-net-worth Indian travelers, valued for its cultural heritage and luxury offerings, according to a new survey by the research, media, and investment group Hurun.
The group’s India Wealth Report and Luxury Consumer Survey 2025 reveals that travel is the leading hobby for 45 percent of affluent Indians, while tourism ranks as the top spending habit for 32 percent of participants.
Greece ranks fifth in their preferences, attracting visitors with boutique hospitality, dramatic cliffside views, and crystal-clear waters. Santorini and Mykonos stand out for their high-end beach clubs and villas, while Athens invites travelers to explore the country’s rich history. Greece’s proximity to Milan and other major European capitals further strengthens its appeal for Indian jet-setters.
Singapore tops the list
At the top of the list, Singapore is the preferred choice of 11 percent of India’s wealthy, known for landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands, Raffles, and The Capella, along with five-star hotels and haute-cuisine restaurants.
The United Kingdom follows in second place, offering a wide range of leisure travel options and convenient getaways to other European hotspots. Switzerland, blending natural beauty with sophistication, ranks third, followed by France, Australia, the United States, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and the Maldives.
In terms of brands, Emirates is the airline of choice, Taj Hotels lead in hospitality, and Oceania Cruises (19 percent) ranks first among international luxury cruise lines.
