Lisbon leads 7 nominations in the European World Travel Awards 2023

Lisbon is the capital and largest city of Portugal, where is recognized as Best City Break in 2022. In 2023, Lisbon is highlighted in the European edition of World Travel Awards 2023, which will take place in Batumi, Georgia on September 30. 

The Portuguese capital is nominated for Best New Tourist Attraction, Best City Destination, Best City Break Destination, Best Cultural City Destination, Best Seaside Metropolitan Destination, Best Cruise Destination, and Best Cruise Port.

According to Vitor Costa, General Director of Turismo de Lisboa and President of the Regional Tourism Entity of Lisbon Region, these results reinforce Lisbon’s leadership and demonstrate international recognition. Besides, these nominations also contribute to raising “the growing challenges to continue to rival some of the most iconic destinations in the world”.

Online Voting is available here. Voting for the WTA European Gala runs until August 20 and the winner will announce at the end of September in Batumi, Georgia.
