September is the preferred month for about one in four European vacationers
- 3 August, 25
Almost a quarter of Europeans are now considering to shift their summer holidays to September, when there is less heat and crowding and perhaps better prices in destinations such as Greece.
July and August remain, according to the European Tourism Commission’s research, the most popular months for summer holidays.
‘However, September is emerging as a strong contender, with 22% of Europeans planning trips that month. The strong preference for early fall travel suggests that a significant share of travelers are open to off-peak options, motivated by milder weather, fewer crowds and better value for money,’ explains the ETC.
