Travel to Portugal: Restriction Notice

According to latest update from SEF, Passengers travelling to Portugal from: Brazil, South Africa, Cyprus, Croatia, France, India, Lithuania, Netherlands and Sweden must register their data on travel.sef.pt and comply with mandatory prophylactic isolation for 14 days.

Travel.sef.pt- New speeding up borders service

At the arrival to Portugal, by air, land or sea, every citizen from the abovementioned countries must comply, after entering, a 14-day prophylactic isolation. This new service, available at Travel.sef.pt, allows the citizen to submit in a declaration form every information needed for the speeding up of the control procedure at the border, before boarding or at the arrival to Portugal and prior to control.

After submission of the data by the passenger, in which the address of destination in the national territory is included, an e-mail requesting the confirmation of the address will be received, and a certificate will be received accordingly as well. This certificate shall be submitted to the SEF inspector at the border control. After this procedure the entry into the national territory will be allowed only.

The collected data will be forwarded by SEF to the Directorate General for Health, in order to aid the Portuguese public health authorities tracing the citizens forced to prophylactic isolation.

Step 1: Check the list of countries that Portugal set a  “quarantine 14 days”  here : https://www.sef.pt/en/Pages/homepage.aspx.

Step 2: Fill in the online form https://travel.sef.pt/Forms/Form.aspx before your flight and submit to SEF Portugal

Step 3: All passengers, must present proof of a negative test to COVID-19 (RT-PCR), carried out within 72 hours before boarding time, with the exception of children who have not reached 24 months of age.
