MERCAN GROUP – CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – MARRIOTT RENAISSANCE LAPA HOTEL

Marriott Renaissance Lapa is is the result of an urban rehabilitation project that qualified for Portugal Golden Visa Program. The project integrates the internationally recognized Renaissance Brand in the city.

The new four-star hotel is invested 56 million euros by Mercan Group. The hotel is a project rehabilitation from the 2.5 acres land to four-star hotel in Porto. Located in the heart of Oporto city, near the iconic Lapa Church, within a 12 minutes walking distance to Avenida dos Aliados and the City Hall, which are the reference centre points of the city. 

In addition, Lapa hotel has been projected under a solid concept: inspiring shapes, simplicity and elegance, combined with high-end engineering and will have one of the  largest conference, event and convention center in the country. Furthermore, it has 163 rooms divided by 5 floors, plus 2 floors for parking area and other amenities. The hotel plans also includes a restaurant, bar, gym and a rooftop swimming pool & bar with an interesting view over the city skyline.

At the present, Lapa Hotel is in the finishing stages of the hotel building construction. This hotel planned to be opened in the 3rd Quarter of this year.
