Start Up Visa Program (SUV) is an immigration program status (Permanent Residence) for entrepreneurs and their family members who would like to live in Canada if they:
- Build an innovative -idea business in Canada (except Quebec)
- Potentially hire local Canadians
- Can offer their product/service to local and international buyers.
The applicant(s) for SUV can choose to:
- START YOUR OWN COMPANY (innovative idea proposal) or;
- BE AN ANGEL INVESTOR at minimum of CAD75,000 or;
- BE A VENTURE CAPITALIST, investing a minimum of CAD200,000 to a Venture Capital Fund.
The Government will review the choice of investment, and if the business proposal is approved, the Government will issue the Letter of Support (LOS) to the applicant. The Applicant and family members can then apply for immigration to Canada and start to launch the business.
