Villas in Athens come cheap for foreign buyers

The low prices of luxury homes in Athens, compared to other European cities, tax incentives and a sense of security are the main reasons for the increased interest in prime residences in Greece, according to the international agency Barnes International Realty.

In Rome, Barcelona, Madrid and Milan, a luxury apartment requires 10,000-15,000 euros per square meter, while in Athens – e.g. in Kolonaki (pictured) – the corresponding cost is €8,000/sq.m.

At the forefront of demand are penthouse apartments in the center of Athens with a view, modern villas with a view or direct access to the sea, and new residences on the Athenian Riviera.
