Americans – Top 1 Investors of Portugal Golden Visa in November

According to SEF, In November, there were total 83 approved investors under Portugal Golden Visa :20 American, followed by 19 Chinese, 10 Brazilians, 5 the Turks and 5 Russian; There are also 109 family member approved. Altogether, applicants invested some EUR 46,7 million in the month, largely in line with the result from October.

This is the second time that Chinese investors were displaced from their pole position, first was in 2020 by Brazilian.

In 2021, American participation in the program has already set records in both absolutely and relative terms: 87 American main applicants have been approved so far this year compare to 75 in 2020 while US applicant’s share of the program overall has reach 11.1%, almost twice the proportion observed in 2020.
