The Portugal Golden Visa Program is the most competitive program that offer foreign investors the right to reside in Portugal/EU and eventually get EU citizenship. By investing only 280,000EUR or above, residence permit holders already have the right to reside in Portugal and enjoy free travel within the 26 nation members of the Schengen zone. Mercan Group launches 15 projects qualified for the Golden Visa Program under property rehabilitation category.

According to the law changes, there will be no changes on the regulations related to the Golden Visa category in Portugal regarding the €350k real estate rehabilitation into hospitality projects in Porto and Lisbon, and the €280k real estate rehabilitation into hospitality projects in the non urban areas. In terms of hospitality rehabilitation, where we have 50% of the market share, this category will remain the same and we will continue to offer EUR 280,000 and EUR 350,000 investment opportunities at least until the end of 2022 with a strong possibility of renewing again further. Until the end of 2021, Mercan Group plans to open 5 hotels project in Porto and Amarante, Portugal.
