House price in Portugal still increase 5.9% during the pandemic year 2020

The whole world are working together to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Many industries are affected, including Real Estate. Although the real estate situation in the world is extremely bleak, but Portugal has emerged as a bright spot. Compared to 2019, house prices in Portugal still increased by an average of 5.9% (reaching 2,147 Euro / m2).

Leading among major Portugal cities with impressive price increases was Porto with 11.6%. This is the city where Mercan Group currently has 8 projects under the category of Golden Visa.

The Algarve is the region with the second highest price increase with 7.2%, reaching 2,368 Euro / m2.

It is noteworthy that the capital city- Lisbon only has a 2.2% increase compared to 2019. However, the average price here is already the highest in the country with over 3.3 thousand Euro / m2.
