Lisbon to New York flights return

American Delta Airlines has returned to Lisbon, with a flight from New York and will continue with four weekly connections between the two cities.

The airline will “operate four direct weekly flights between New York-JFK and Lisbon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays”. Airlines’ Partners are Air France , KLM and Virgin Atlantic”. Therefore, customers can also reach Portugal via Delta’s European hubs in Amsterdam and Paris.

Amy Martin, general director of planning for Delta’s international network shared: “Portugal is one of Delta’s most popular destinations for leisure travellers. We are delighted to reopen this cherished route to American tourists, further supporting the economic recovery from the global pandemic,” .

The carrier warned that passengers traveling to Portugal “must have a negative PCR or NAAT [PCR type] test or a negative antigen test, respectively within 72 hours or within 24 hours prior to the trip” and that there will be no “quarantine for travellers from the United States.”
