The Council of Ministers announced on 3 February, in a statement, that ends the requirement, for those entering Portugal, “to present proof of a negative test result for those who present Covid-19 digital certificate of the EU in any of its forms or other proof of vaccination that has been recognised.

The end of the negative test requirement, which also applies at land borders for citizens coming from countries considered to be at risk red or dark red, is integrated in the resolution amending the measures applicable under the Covid-19 pandemic approved by the Government.

According to the Council of Ministers, this resolution introduces “adjustments regarding proof of vaccination to be presented for access to certain sites, in accordance with the changes introduced in the decree-law on the digital certificate Covid-19”, in which the rapid antigen tests now have a validity of 24 hours.
