Golden Visa investment up 33%

Investment through golden visas rose 33% in the first half, compared to the same period last year, to 316.2 million euros, according to reports made by Lusa based on data from the SEF.

In June, the investment raised with the golden visas amounted to more than 77.9 million euros, an increase of 44% compared to May (53.8 million euros), and more than doubled the 36.4 million euros recorded in the same month of 2021.

In June, 155 golden visas were granted, of which 126 were for the acquisition of real estate (68 for urban rehabilitation), 28 for capital transfers and one for job creation.

Investment in the purchase of real estate totalled 62.2 million euros in June, of which 23.9 million in urban rehabilitation, while in the capital transfer, the value was 15.6 million euros.

Last month, 30 golden visas were granted to China, 30 to the US, 14 to Turkey, 11 to India and 10 to Brazil.
